New environments make him nervous, and when he's feeling overwhelmed, he may retreat to a cozy hiding spot where he feels safe. Gentle head pets are his favorite, and he'll happily soak up attention from someone he trusts. He even enjoys being held from time to time, leaning into you for comfort and reassurance.
