About Zion
Meet Zion, or "Z" as his foster calls him. At just a year and a half, this German Shepherd/Chow mix moves through life with a practiced calm. He’s steady and mellow, and quickly feels at home. Zion is leash trained, reliable in the house, and gently asserts himself as a quiet, positive presence. While he settles in, he might mark once, but that passes quickly as he gets comfortable. Z loves his daily walks but isn't bouncing off the walls—he takes his time, wants to see things, and generally prefers a good stroll over hard exercise. He rides politely in the car and handles himself like he knows what’s expected. Food means a lot to him, maybe because he was too thin at first, so he’s happy to work for treats, sits patiently at meal times, and has a weakness for frozen beef bones. Leave snacks unattended at your own risk. Toys? Not really his thing. You’ll hear from him when breakfast or dinner is near; it’s more low-key commentary than noise—a soft howl, a reminder that schedules matter. Zion is great with children and fits in alone or with other dogs. He gets along well with his canine peers but cannot share space with cats. He’s looking for a home that values a loyal, composed companion who keeps everyone on track and quickly becomes a steady, loving fixture. Give him a place at your side and you’ll soon wonder how you ever managed without him. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
