Bean
AvailableBean is a black and white Domestic Short Hair in Wilmington, DE and is about 3 years and 10 months old. She is a spayed female, vaccinated, and considered large for her breed. Bean is FIV-positive, which means she has a weaker immune system and benefits from attentive care. While she does not get along with children, she thrives in adult homes.
About Bean
Bean came in as a stray and quickly bonded with Rusty, her roomie and gentle guide. While Bean is younger and more reserved, a little patience brings out her loving side—once she feels safe, she transforms into a purring, snuggly cat who enjoys quiet naps with Rusty. Getting her attention takes some effort, but her warmth and affection are worth the wait. Rusty is the more confident half of the pair, acting as Bean's protector and role model, helping her feel at home and giving her confidence to open up. Both Bean and Rusty are FIV+, so their immune systems need watching, but with regular vet care they can live happy lives. Rusty also takes daily medication for a heart condition, handled like a champ. Bean doesn’t prefer life with children and will do best in a calm, adult-oriented home comfortable managing their special needs. Click apply to start the adoption process.
