Meet Love ❤️ Some dogs bounce through life without a scratch. Others carry their story quietly in their eyes. Love is one of those dogs. When she first arrived, it was clear her life before rescue had been very different from what a dog should know. Her body showed the signs of being used for breeding, and her heart showed the confusion that followed. She cried softly and searched for puppies that weren’t there, as if she believed they were just around the corner waiting for her. It was the kind of heartbreak you can feel in your chest. Three weeks have passed, and she’s slowly beginning to understand that she’s safe now. The crying has faded, but when she goes outside, you can still see her looking… just in case. Yet the most remarkable thing about Love is not what she’s been through. It’s who she is despite it all. Love lives up to her name in every possible way. She is incredibly gentle, sweet, and affectionate. She greets everyone she meets with quiet kindness and leans in for pets like she’s been waiting her whole life for someone to notice her. She doesn’t ask for much, just a soft hand, a kind voice, and someone willing to sit beside her for a moment. We named her Love because she has the most beautiful brown heart-shaped marking on her side, almost like a little symbol of everything she still has left to give. After everything she’s been through, her heart is still wide open. Love is currently heartworm positive, but she has already been spayed and vaccinated, and we believe she deserves a chance at the life she was never given before. With treatment and a loving home, she has every opportunity to thrive. She doesn’t need perfection. She doesn’t need fancy things. She just needs someone willing to show her that the rest of her life will look very different from the beginning. A soft bed. A safe place. A human who will love her back.
