About Goldie! Miss Congeniality… With
Hi, I’m Goldie… and I’ve been told I have a way of making just about everyone feel like a friend. I’m a sweet, social, and happy girl with a naturally friendly personality. I love meeting people, being part of what’s going on, and sharing my good energy wherever I go. If you’re looking for a dog who brings a warm, easy presence into your day, I think you’ll understand me pretty quickly. I’m the kind of girl who enjoys being around others—whether that’s people or other dogs—and I tend to settle in nicely because I genuinely like connection. I have a playful side, but it’s balanced with a gentle, easygoing nature that makes me a really enjoyable companion to live with. At home, I’m learning my routines and doing well. I’m crate trained, house trained, and up to date on all my vaccinations, so I’m ready to transition into a home and keep building from there. I can picture my life pretty clearly… a home where I’m part of the everyday rhythm. Walks, little moments, time together—I don’t need anything over the top, just a place where I belong and someone to share it with. My story started in Texas, where I was rescued and given a second chance. Since then, I’ve been showing everyone just how loving and adaptable I can be. My rescue is very thoughtful about where I go, because they believe the best matches aren’t rushed—they’re chosen carefully. That’s why I’m available through a foster-to-adopt program. It means you’ll have 2–3 weeks to bring me home, get to know me, and see how I fit into your daily life before making a final decision. No pressure—just real time together to see if it feels right. And if for any reason it’s not the perfect match, my rescue will quickly find me another foster-to-adopt home up north, so I can keep moving toward the home that’s meant for me. My transport runs every other weekend, and I’ll be heading up from Texas ready to start something new. I’ll arrive in East Hartford, Connecticut or Brattleboro, Vermont, where families come to meet us and begin that first chapter together.
