About Rocco
Meet Rocco, the tiny cuddle bug you’ve been waiting for! 🐾 At about one year old and a petite 10 lbs, Rocco is officially full-grown and ready to find his forever lap. Though he started his journey as a stray, he has transformed into the most loving companion who truly lives for snuggles. Rocco is a bit of a "shy guy" at first, but once he knows he’s safe, his true colors shine through. He is a total sweetheart who gets along famously with cats and other dogs. He’s also been great with respectful children ages 10 and up! While he is definitely a world-class snuggler, he still has a fun, playful side. If you’re looking for a loyal, pint-sized best friend who will reward your patience with a lifetime of devotion, Rocco is your boy. He’s just looking for a family that can offer him a little bit of time to settle in and plenty of room on the sofa. Ready to give this former stray the life of luxury he deserves? Apply to adopt Rocco today! 🏠❤️ His adoption fee is $500. If you are interested in adopting there is an application below: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PDAR/Dog Most of our dogs are rescued from high-intake shelters in Texas or straight off the streets in South Texas where there are packs of stray dogs running loose. Your fee covers the significant costs of bringing them to safety. Your adoption fee covers: spay/neuter (if old enough), transport fees getting the dogs from Texas to our fosters homes here (that ALONE is $200-$230 per dog), core vaccines, heartworm test (If old enough), deworming, and microchip. We partner with VCA Animal Hospitals. With every adoption comes a complimentary First Exam at any participating VCA location within the first 14 days of adoption. Follow-up Care Coverage: VCA provides limited health guarantee coverage (up to $250) for specific minor illnesses (like kennel cough or ear infections) diagnosed during that initial 14-day window. We do not guarantee the breed of any of our dogs or how big they will be when they are fully grown. The breed listed is typically a guess based off of appearance or personality traits. We cannot guarantee that any dog is not mixed with pit. This is a standard part of adopting a dog from rescue. We are a non-profit rescue. Any access revenue made is used to care for animals with additional medical expenditures that would otherwise result in adoptable dogs having to be left behind and euthanized.
