About Echo
Echo is a sweet, 1.5-year-old, medium-haired female with a soft gray coat, looking for an adopter with a big heart and steady hands. She came from a multi-cat eviction situation and, despite her rocky start, she’s gentle, loves being petted, and settles comfortably when held. Echo gets along with laid-back cats and is easygoing in her company. However, she’s not your average cat—she was diagnosed with a significant congenital heart condition (Tetralogy of Fallot), which includes multiple heart defects. Surgery isn’t an option, and while she manages well for now, her long-term prognosis is uncertain and her life expectancy is shorter than most cats. Her adopter must keep her activity gentle (no marathon laser-pointer sessions) and commit to ongoing cardiologist care, including regular echocardiograms. Right now, medicine isn’t necessary, but her condition needs diligent monitoring. Echo has tested negative for FelV/FIV, is up to date on vaccines, dewormed, and microchipped. She’s looking for someone within driving distance of her specialist, or open to fostering if you live within 30 minutes of North Haven. Her adoption fee is fully sponsored for the right home ready to cherish her for however long she has. Your new best friend is just one click away.
