About Mia Vi
Bonded Pair – Mia & Toby Mia and Toby are a devoted brother–sister pair who have spent their entire lives together and are hoping to stay side by side. At 10 years old they still have plenty of love, personality, and companionship to give. After their longtime owner was placed into a care facility due to dementia, a family member was unable to continue caring for them and they were later found underweight and without collars. When a car door opened, they climbed in together as if they knew it meant safety. Mia is the playful one who loves walks, while Toby is the gentle shadow who simply wants to stay close to his people. Together they make the perfect pair. Meet Mia – the squeaker detective and professional cuddle expert! Mia is a goofy, lovable 10-year-old mixed-breed pup who acts much younger youâ€ÂTMd think she was closer to 3 years old with the way she moves around and plays. Sheâ€ÂTMs 35 lbs but if you let her she will sneak all the treats. Her favorite hobby is conducting “squeaker inspections†on every toy she meets… and sheâ€ÂTMs very good at her job. No squeaker survives long! Mia has a sweet, silly personality and a relaxed temperament, often lounging nearby or soaking up the sunshine. She does have a few small scars on her face that the vet believes may have come from a dog altercation in the past, but theyâ€ÂTMve healed and only add to her character. Mia and her brother Toby recently lost the only home theyâ€ÂTMve ever known after their loving owner was placed into a care facility due to dementia. During the transition, the dogs were found underweight and without collars, but by an incredible coincidence they were taken to the same vet clinic they had visited for years, where the staff recognized them immediately. Mia is now healthy, spayed, microchipped, and fully up to date on vaccinations including rabies. Mia is a playful but mostly laid-back girl who loves walks more than anything. If you start putting on your shoes, she will happily remind you that itâ€ÂTMs time for a walk. Even short strolls make her day, and afterward sheâ€ÂTMs ready to curl up for a long nap. She loves meeting new people and has no problem greeting guests when they come over. Mia lives with her brother Toby and they share a strong bond, she occasionally steals his toys (sister privileges), but they truly feel safest together. They may be cautious with new dogs at first, but after a little time they settle in and welcome them into the pack. Mia would do best in a home with a yard where she can explore and get regular walks, and a home without young children where she can relax and adjust at her own pace. She also enjoys being close to her humans and happily cuddles after a walk or play session. Mia is house-trained and continues to work on her leash skills. She doesnâ€ÂTMt currently know formal tricks yet, but she is intelligent and eager to learn with treats and a little patience. It appears that Mia may have spent much of her life outdoors, so she is still discovering the comforts of indoor living and routines. She is being rehomed through no fault of her own, she was left under the care of a family member that failed her. Mia is a funny, affectionate, and loyal companion who just wants a safe home, regular walks, and someone to share her naps with. Apply to adopt Mia today!
