Cammy
AvailableCammy is a 4-year-old, adult female medium-sized domestic short hair with a soft tuxedo coat, living in Windsor, CT. She is spayed, house trained, and gets along with other cats. Her sibling bond with Laura-Lei is strong, and together they seek a calm, patient home where they can thrive.
About Cammy
Cammy and her sister Laura-Lei have weathered their share of storms together. Abandoned outside as unfixed young cats, they clung to each other for survival, even giving birth side by side near a dumpster. While tragedy marked their early days, the pair’s bond only grew, especially after rescue workers brought them in and made sure they were back together. At five years old, Cammy is the bolder, more curious sister—often found stationed by the window, transfixed by birds and showing interest in play. Laura-Lei is quieter and always finds comfort with her confident sibling. Both are still building trust with people, but respond well to a calm, patient, and stable environment. Cammy will occasionally need some grooming help to keep her long coat in check, while Laura-Lei manages her coat herself. These two must be adopted together—their well-being depends on it. They would do best with an experienced cat owner and in a quiet home where they can settle on their own schedule. Watching them emerge from their shells and grow more secure is a quiet reward in itself. Click apply to start the adoption process.

Questions about Cammy
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Cammy, as a domestic short hair cat, will be happiest in a peaceful indoor home where she can feel secure and bond with her humans. Domestic short hairs are adaptable, but Cammy in particular needs a quieter, patient environment with her sister.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Cammy, like most domestic cats, doesn’t require outdoor space and will do best living indoors. A safe indoor window perch is great for her bird watching habit.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Domestic short hair cats generally suit many homes, though Cammy’s cautious nature makes her a better fit for families with older children or calm households.
