This 3 year-old sweetheart is looking for a forever family to share all her love with. She even has a heart-shaped spot on her back to prove it! Trudy is housetrained and crate trained, though she'll make no secret of the fact that she prefers snuggling up in bed with her people. She's a loyal shadow - the kind of dog who wants to be wherever her people are. She'll "talk" to you if she's feeling bored or under-exercised, but burn off her energy with a good walk, a play session, or some time at the dog park, and she'll happily curl up in one of her favorite spots. She's working on using her inside voice when left alone but tends to settle fairly quickly. She's food motivated and doing great with clicker training - she knows a few basic commands and is eager to learn more. She's gentle when taking food and treats, which makes training (and spoiling her) a real joy. She is a strong girl who's doing well on the leash, but occasionally needs gentle reminders not to pull. She responds well to redirection, consistency, and of course treats! Trudy has been great with kids of all ages and adores her current 3- and 6-year-old roommates. She's warm and friendly with neighborhood kids and dogs alike (usually after just a minute of sniff test introductions). She came from a home with five dogs and loves canine companionship - she'd likely thrive in a home with another playful, snuggly dog to call her best friend.
