Rocky is a 1.5-year-old Shepherd/Husky mix who forms deep bonds with his people. Once he knows you, he's affectionate, loyal, and happiest right by your side. Though he's deaf, Rocky is incredibly tuned in and connects through visual cues and trust. He rides well in the car, walks nicely on leash, and has a curious, smart personality-especially if there might be snacks involved. Rocky loves attention and isn't shy about asking for it. Because he bonds so closely, Rocky can be protective of his person and would do best as the only dog, or with an experienced adopter who can help him with boundaries. In a home, he showed uncertainty around cats-keeping his distance at first and becoming more vocal over time-so a cat-free home or slow, structured introductions would be ideal.
