Lovely calico Rita was heavily pregnant when she was rescued from dogs on the side of a highway. She went to a foster home where she soon gave birth to a perfect litter of kittens, not one of whom looked anything like their mom. After her kittens went off to new homes, Rita came to a community room at the shelter to get her own life back. Rita likes comfort. She likes treats, and toys, and blankets. She likes pets and seeks human attention, but isn’t clingy. She is just as stunning in looks and personality as any of her kittens, and there are many benefits to adopting an adult cat. Rita’s personality is established and stable. She is calmer because she is more mature. Rita would love to have a home of her own, either by herself or as part of a multi-cat household. We estimate Rita was born in late 2023. She is spayed, has all her shots, and is microchipped.
