A volunteer writes: Becky With The Fur is with us as unfortunately, her owner passed away. A relative who barely knew her told us that she was timid, needed time to warm up, played gently with kids and had no experience with cats or dogs. I loved Becky at first sight! She did not seem shy, came forward, a beautiful Tuxedo girl, furry, silky, fluffy with round cheeks, petite at eight pounds and quite gutsy looking. We both enjoyed each other company and even more so the second time I met her. Becky became more and more comfortable with me too, dropping to her kennel floor, spreading and stretching her four and quivering the tip of her tail with contentment. Becky is a cat with character but with a lovely heart too! I heard that she did hiss at the sight of a cat but the shelter is loaded with cats and it seems that Becky never meet one in her life. Still, probably to be on the safe side, Becky should be your only feline. Becky will make an amazing for ever best friend. Ask to meet her when you visit us at the Manhattan Care Center! Becky With The Fur is standing in her cubby, body relaxed, tail held high, and eyes soft as the assessor approaches. When the kennel door is opened, she hesitates for just a moment before coming out of her cubby, stretching, and coming forward to greet the assessor with soft head bunts. Becky With The Fur allows all petting, leaning in and raising her back as she is pet. She is able to be easily picked up and held, remaining calm and leaning against the assessor's body as she is held. When she is placed back into the kennel, she remains at the front and continues to allow all petting and handling. Becky With The Fur interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience.
