About Walker

Meet Walker—a 3½-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound with a big personality and an even bigger love for car rides. Weighing about 58 pounds, Walker slides effortlessly from playing zoomies at the dog park and joining you on mountain trails, to curling up beside you and morphing into a champion cuddler. He can be seen at his happiest with his head out the car window, soaking up the wind, but he’s just fine snoozing in the backseat too. The beach is cool—so long as he doesn’t have to touch the water. At home, Walker is easy to live with: no destructive behaviors, not much barking, and he’s comfortably crate trained as well as dog-door savvy. He knows basic commands and walks well on leash, making him an enjoyable companion inside and out. He’d rather skip the chaos of small kids, so a relaxed home with adults or teens will suit him best. His opinion on cats is still a mystery, so plan accordingly. If you want a loyal adventure partner who’s just as invested in long hikes as he is in sofa snuggles, Walker will show up for you every time. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
