About Rusty

Rusty is a charming adult cat with a playful spirit and a sweet demeanor. At 6 years old, he has a striking black and white coat that makes him an eye-catcher. Rusty came to the shelter from another facility when they couldn't accommodate him anymore. He immediately bonded with Bean, a shy stray he now lovingly protects. Together, they create a heartwarming pair. With his confident and gentle nature, Rusty greets guests with a friendly meow and loves to curl up in cozy spots, especially someone’s lap. Playtime occasionally catches his fancy, although he prefers the relaxation that comes with lounging in his many beds. Rusty is currently managing FIV, requiring regular check-ups but thriving overall. He also takes daily medication for a heart condition, which he handles like a champ. While Rusty enjoys the company of people, he does not get along with children, so a calm adult-only home would be ideal.
