Meet Trisha (O Ya Trisha), a 7-year-old retired racing greyhound who is sweet as pie and currently looking for her forever home. Trisha is smart, friendly, and gentle, making her an easy companion to fall in love with. She’s already made a smooth transition into home life. She’s had zero accidents, has learned to navigate stairs like a pro, and walks well on a leash. She does have a strong prey drive and may pull if she spots a squirrel or other small animal, so she’ll do best with someone who can handle that with awareness on walks. Trisha requires in home without cats or small animals. If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate, and polite dog who’s ready to settle into retired life, Trisha might just be your girl. This dog is being fostered in the Des Moines Area. We do not ship dogs. Adopters must be committed to meeting the dog in the area it is being fostered. The adoption fee for a Senior HGA dog is $200.00. This fee pays for medical costs including spay/neuter surgery, shots, parasite treatments, teeth cleaning, microchip and microchip registration fee. Each dog also comes with a special sighthound collar and leash set and muzzle. There is a $30 non-refundable application fee.
