About Vinny

Vinny is a young shepherd mix who got his start as a tiny pup abandoned at a gas station outside Houston. His early days were tough, but now he’s all energy and charm. With those scruffy whiskers, there’s likely a bit of Schnauzer or another bearded breed mixed with his shepherd roots. Vinny stands out for his quick mind and food motivation, which makes teaching him easy. He already responds to sit, wait, off, and is about 90% on fetch. He also entertains himself with toys when alone. Vinny enjoys being near his people and gets along well with other dogs and even the resident foster cat. His house training is coming along nicely—just be ready for a short adjustment period in a new home. Because he’s still so young, his ideal home will have someone around most of the day and children older than five. If you’re looking for a bright, loving companion with a touch of mischief and plenty of potential, Vinny is ready to meet you. Click apply to start the adoption process.
