GATOR is a sweet, easygoing 2 year old beagle boy looking for a home. He came to us after being on the run in a rural area for a month. We have to say he's the chonkiest stray we've ever met -- he tipped the scales at 43 pounds when he arrived (he should be around 32 pounds). All of the good people in the area were feeding him as they tried to catch him. Gator was living the beagle dream, food everywhere! Thankfully he was finally captured and now he's ready to settle down with a family of his very own. Gator is on a diet and he has some strong opinions on the subject. Beagles. If you know you know. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care.
