Sweet Sammy came to MLAR thru our Animal Law Enforcement officers. This poor guy was matted and had bite wounds on him. Once in our clinic, it was discovered that he is FIV+ and has a heart murmur. This poor guy has the deck stacked against him. Sammy is a bit shy and does allow some petting. He will need a patient home with someone who will give him the space he needs to blossom. FIV+ cats have a weakened immune system and then can still live a long healthy life. Sammy has some issues, but we know there is someone out there willing to take a chance on him and give him the life he deserves. He is still a young cat with many years ahead of him. If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared -- bring a photo ID, proof of current address and a cat carrier.
