After being abandoned, she was brought to safety by a firefighter and has slowly learned to trust people again, thanks to a patient foster home. Ash is about 7 years old (born February 8, which makes her an independent Aquarius for fans of astrology), but she acts much younger, always eager for play and affection on her terms. She rewards her favorite humans—especially her foster dad—with high fives, head boops, and enthusiastic greetings at the door. While Ash appreciates human companionship and loves lap time, she does things her own way. She’s not fond of being picked up, but adores play sessions with feather wands and laser pointers. Playtime has been pivotal in her bonding—her new home should continue this routine. Ash can sometimes swat or hiss if she’s uncomfortable, but never with claws; it’s her gentle way of setting boundaries. She loves cat trees, carpeted and cardboard scratchers, and always uses the litterbox perfectly. Ash has met other cats and is interested but not entirely sure about making feline friends, so she’s best as an only kitty or may do well with a kitten after a gentle introduction.
