Charlie is a one-and-a-half-year-old mini Bernedoodle who is still searching for his true forever home. He’s had a few starts in life that didn’t work out—and because of that, he’s a little more sensitive than most. What Charlie needs now isn’t another quick placement… he needs someone who understands commitment, patience, and giving a dog the time he deserves to feel safe. Charlie does best in a calm, quieter home, ideally with a woman or female-led household. He bonds deeply once he feels secure, and in the right environment, he is doing really well and showing his sweet, gentle nature. ✔️ Walks nicely on a leash ✔️ Gets along well with other dogs and cats ✔️ Loves children Charlie can be startled by loud or sudden noises, and when he feels overwhelmed, he may bark or react out of fear. He is not aggressive—he just needs reassurance and someone who will help him work through those moments instead of giving up on him. He does fine meeting men outside the home, but seems more unsure with men in his living space, so we believe he’ll thrive best in a home where he feels consistently safe.
