May is a sweet female dog with significant orthopedic concerns affecting both of her rear legs. She has a fractured femoral head in her right rear leg and a luxating patella in her left, conditions that can cause pain, instability, and difficulty with mobility. These issues will require veterinary evaluation and likely surgical intervention, along with ongoing care to support her comfort and recovery. Despite these challenges, May remains gentle and is doing her best while receiving supportive care. May will need a committed, compassionate home or rescue that can provide the medical treatment she needs, as well as a safe and supportive environment for healing. Her care requirements exceed what we can consistently provide in the shelter setting. May needs a calm, patient placement where she can receive proper veterinary attention, pain management, and the time she needs to recover and regain mobility. This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the level of medical care required, which exceeds what we can provide.
