About Ziggy

Ziggy is one of the older kittens currently at Centre County PAWS, and he has Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), often called wobbly cat syndrome. If you have questions about caring for him, the team is ready to share tips and answer anything on your mind. His foster can’t say enough good things—Ziggy’s personality is huge, and his determination shows every day. He's noticeably wobbly, with both his head and body moving in their own way, but that doesn’t keep him from moving wherever he pleases. Whether zigzagging across the floor by flopping or dragging, Ziggy still beats you across the room if he’s motivated! While Ziggy can’t walk upright without toppling, he manages to eat and drink on his own—he just does it lying down. His favorite place is a lap, where he will purr loud and long. When a person enters the room, Ziggy lights up and will try his best to hurry over. He gets a wild energy burst every evening— picture him flopping around with all his spring toys and stuffed mice. His determination and charm make him a joy to watch and a true companion for someone who understands his needs. You’re welcome to meet Ziggy during open hours and see firsthand if he’s your match.
