Evo is an older German Shepherd with a big heart, a goofy personality, and a whole lot of love to give. He still has plenty of energy and would thrive in an active home. Evo enjoys walks, running, playing fetch, and even swimming. He's very smart and food motivated, and will do best with someone who can provide structure and continue working with him. He's also got a soft side. Evo loves belly rubs, will happily snuggle on the couch, and has a silly, lovable personality that really shines once he feels comfortable. He can be a bit of a bull in a china shop at times, sliding on floors and bumping into things, which just adds to his charm. As a German Shepherd, Evo is a natural protector and will alert bark at strangers outside the home. Once properly introduced, he warms up well and has never shown aggression. He has done well with other dogs and has been around cats, but thinks chasing them is a fun game, so a cat-free home or very dog-savvy cat would be best. Due to his size and enthusiasm, he could easily knock over small children, so an older-kid home is recommended. German Shepherds are not a beginner breed, and Evo is no exception.
