Nugget is a 1–2 year old, 30-lb Shepherd mix sweetheart who recently made his way from a small rural Kentucky shelter and is blossoming more each day. He’s fully potty trained, crate trained, and doing beautifully with leash walking — in just one week he went from unsure to proudly prancing. Nugget is still learning how to “dog,” and his foster sister has been a wonderful mentor. He can be a little shy at first, but once he feels safe, he absolutely melts for couch snuggles, soft blankets, toys, and especially chin scratches. He’s gentle, great with kids, and has a calm, observant nature. And yes — he’s as handsome as he looks. With his caramel face, sleek black coat, warm amber eyes, and those adorable white-tipped paws, Nugget is truly a beautiful boy inside and out. He has so much potential and is ready for a patient, loving home to help him continue growing into the confident companion he’s meant to be.
