Gerald is a laid back, low key Terrier mix, we suspect mixed with Chinese Crested. He has been hanging out with our Sanctuary for the last 2 1/2 years as we dealt with his skin issues. In that time he has been very easy going (except for nail trims) and for a Terrier low-key. He lives with other sanctuary members here but he would be quite happy being an only child. We have no idea how he would be with cats. Any prey-drive he has shown here is chasing the hoover or broom. Gerald came to us with a severe bacterial skin infection. He was red raw and oozing blood from his highly infected skin and his ears were terribly infected as well. We ran an immunology /allergy blood panel and he is highly allergic to certain foods (Turkey, Chicken Fish Meal, Beet Pulp, Rice). What this really means that you must be willing to consider cooking his food, which we currently do and has totally cleared up his skin and ear issues. He will not eat the hydrolyzed dog food, which we can totally understand and agree with him . He walks on leash but could do with more practice. He greatest joy is sleeping under a layer of blankets and he loves his heating pad. If interested in Gerald, give us a shout and we'll see about setting up a Meet & Greet.
