If survivor had a face, it would look a lot like Suzy. This regal and gentle girl came to Noah’s Arc after being rescued from a heartbreaking situation—an area where she was cruelly used as target practice for someone with a BB gun. Despite such a painful start and the uncertainty of a brand-new environment, Suzy has shown nothing but grace, forgiveness, and quiet strength. Easygoing and friendly, she welcomes gentle affection and seems to understand that kindness is finally on her side. Suzy is now ready for the life she has always deserved. She’s looking for a home where she can truly exhale, where kind hands will replace past harm, and where she can spend her days being cherished. Suzy and her sister, Nikki (also on Petfinder) are a bonded pair. The first thing they did when reunited? Crawled into a bed and curled up together. All of our animals are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, current on flea and tick treatments, dewormed, and treated for any ailments encountered during veterinary exams. Dogs are heartworm negative and cats are combo tested. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. An application does not obligate you to adopt. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will be in touch as soon as possible. Noah’s Arc is manned by volunteers, the shelter is not open to the public. Meet and greets for the animals are by appointment only.
