Meet BK (aka Bad Kitty, aka Burger King, aka the Big Kolache), a 2-3 year old tabby with the sweetest white stockings and a single pink bean. BK is a former colony cat who has made the transition to indoor life, and is ready to settle down in his forever home. He is a confident and curious guy who is always the first to greet you at the door and say hello. He's not shy at all around strangers and is even fine with older children. BK also has plenty of energy and loves to play. He enjoys chasing wand toys and will go to town on a kick toy when the mood strikes. While he's happy to play with a human who has toys, his favorite type of play is wrestling with another cat. He will often instigate with a little swipe to the back leg, but is typically pretty gentle and usually ends up on his back with his hind legs in the air and swatting from below. When the zoomies hit, BK can run and get goofy with the best of them (especially if he has a buddy). In a new environment, BK can take some time warming up to a lot of pets, but he's very good at communicating his boundaries both verbally and with body language. BK takes a small dose of anxiety meds daily easily in a Churu treat. Once he is in a comfortable and stable environment, he can possibly be weaned off of his meds. BK is in his 3rd foster home and has really been thriving with his kitten buddy. He spends most of his day either playing with the kitten or taking a nap somewhere sunny near a window. He's shown interest in the senior cat, but seems to understand the difference in energy levels. BK might sit near you on the couch, or sleep by your legs on the bed at night, but he is not a lap cat. He will, thankfully, tolerate cheek rubs and smooch attacks once he's familiar with you. BK would make a great companion for a younger cat needing to get out some energy and for a human who appreciates an independent cat.
