Tikaani is an 11-month-old, 40 lb girl with a gentle heart and so much love waiting just beneath the surface. She can be very shy when meeting new people and may back away at first, but with patience, kindness, and a little time, she begins to feel safe and her sweet personality starts to shine. Things my foster team knows about me: -I'm very shy with new people, but once I get to know you, I become a huge lover who enjoys pets, kisses, and being close to my people. -I'm crate trained and usually go in willingly. My crate is my safe place where I can relax. -I'm almost fully potty trained and haven't had an accident in about a week! I prefer to go off leash, so a home with a yard or regular access to a dog park would be ideal for me. -I LOVE other dogs and play wonderfully with them! A canine friend could help me feel more confident. As always, we recommend a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is a great match. -I'm an active, adventurous girl who loves hiking, playing, and getting outside to explore. -I'm very food motivated, which helps when learning new things. -I used to love stuffed toys... maybe a little too much so I'm happiest with sturdier toys and a cozy blanket in my crate. Tikaani would thrive with a patient, active family who understands that shy dogs sometimes just need a little extra time. The reward is incredibly special-once she trusts you, she becomes a loyal, affectionate companion who is ready for adventures and cuddles alike.
