Holly -- Smart, Loyal, and so ready for her person!! Holly is a 3 year old Heeler mix with that classic combination of brains, loyalty, and just the right amount of sass. At around 65 lbs, she's a sturdy, athletic girl who loves being part of the action -- especially if it involves her people. Holly is house trained, crate trained, and walks nicely on a leash. She's a "with her people" kind of dog -- devoted, attentive and eager to please. She loves kids, does well with respectful dogs, and while she's curious about cats, she can coexist just fine with guidance. True to her breed, Holly will thrive with structure and a confident, dog-savvy home. She does best with proper introductions to new people and is currently working with a Heeler-experienced trainer to polish her manners and set her up for long-term success. She's playful and has great energy -- not over the top, but she does enjoy stretching her legs...and yes, she has been known to hop a fence just to go stand on the other side and wait for you to come join her. (Because obviously, the party should be wherever Holly is.) Holly is heartworm positive and is currently on slow-kill treatment, which our team will be happy to discuss with potential adopters. One thing to know -- Holly is not a fan of the bet and will require sedation for exams. We're actively working on this with training support to help her feel more comfortable. Holly's story started on a rural Texas backroad, where she was heartbreakingly dumped from a pickup truck -- just days before giving birth to 9 beautiful puppies. She kept them safe, raised them well, and now that her babies have all found homes...it's her turn. Holly is looking for a smart, devoted companion who will be your shadow, your sidekick, and your biggest fan --Holly might just be your girl!
