They named me Magic. I think it’s because I’m learning to believe in things I can’t see yet. I’m a black Lab mix. I'm currently in Georgia. My bags are packed, I’m ready to travel to my new home. Where are you? Are you my new family? I’ll travel to you! I’m not the dog who runs up to greet you. Not yet. If I can avoid people at first, I will. It’s not that I don’t want connection. I just don’t understand it fully yet. But something is changing. I don’t rush out of my kennel anymore when someone walks up. I stay. I look. I listen. If you talk to me softly, I pay attention. I’m starting to lean in, just a little. That’s a big deal for me. I like my crate. It feels safe. I understand routine, and I do really well when life is predictable. That’s where I start to relax. That’s where I begin to feel like maybe I belong somewhere. I’m timid, but I’m trying. Every single day, I’m trying. I need someone patient. Someone gentle. Someone who doesn’t expect me to be confident right away. If you give me time, I will come to you. Not all at once, but in small, real moments that mean something. And when I do trust you, it will be honest. It will be quiet. It will be the kind of bond you don’t question. I’m ready for a home that understands me. All I need is someone who believes in a little bit of Magic.
