About Tile

Meet Tile, a sweet and sometimes fiesty husky girl who is looking for a rescue partner to pull her to a safe foster home! Tile came into the shelter as a stray after she was hit by a car and spent a few days in the hospital. While Tile was a bit grumpy and barky at the hospital, we have seen her goofy personality come out at the shelter! See more in her behavior notes below. If your rescue can help, please email lifesaving@acctphilly.org. Video: Tile knows paw: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=toUE89dZw_o&source_ve_path=MjM4NTE&embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fnew.shelterluv.com%2F Behavior: Behavior Eval 4/2/26: Kennel Presentation: She was sitting at the other end of the kennel when I approached, and she sat there for a few seconds and then slowly came forward. I dropped a treat for her and she sniffed it, but didn't eat it. Then I handed her a treat through the door and she took it gently and spit it on the ground gently. Leash Skills: I got her leashed very easily although she did try to dodge it at first - she walks slowly on leash. No pulling and very polite leash manners, although she was recently hit by a car. A few times she just laid down and started sniffing the ground when we were walking. Sociability: Brought her into the volunteer office and she warmed up to me a bit and solicited out some pets. Loose body language when she took pets. She ended up taking treats from me inside and every time I held a treat out she would give me paw! She seems to know sit and paw and is pretty treat motivated. After a few minutes in the volunteer office, she got more curious and was sticking her head into bins and getting up on the couch. Typical husky behavior here. Play: No interest in toys today Dog Interaction: None today Return to Kennel: Easily went back into her kennel for unleashing. Color Level: Overall, very easy for handling- I'm going to give her Blue just due to the behavior notes from the offsite hospital. If her behavior continues this way, she can be gold. Recommendations and considerations: can go down from blue if her behavior continues positively Per 4/2/26: Per Hospital Tile's behavior drastically improved. They think she may have vision impairment as she bumped into things on her way out. She knows commands and took treats gently from staff. They noted that she barked a lot when left alone so placed her into her own room area where she did better Medical Wavier 4/2/26: Waiver: General Medical Medical Waiver ACCT Philly has noted a medical condition(s) with this animal.
