About Emerald
Meet Emerald ("Emmie") - A Tiny Survivor with a Big Heart Emerald, affectionately called Emmie, is a sweet 5-month-old Havanese/Maltese mix weighing just 7 pounds. After spending the early part of her life in a cage, Emmie is now learning that the world is safe-and she's making wonderful progress every day. She thrives on routine and is doing great with potty training on pee pads (almost there!). Emmie loves playing with her foster's resident dog, who helps her feel safe and shows her the ropes. She also enjoys squeaky toys and has a playful, puppy side that's starting to shine. Emmie is crate trained and sleeps through the night like a champ. While she's still getting comfortable with being picked up, once she feels secure, she absolutely loves being petted and will happily snuggle in your lap. With a little patience and love to build her confidence, Emmie will blossom into a devoted and affectionate companion. She's ready for a forever home that will help her continue discovering just how good life can be. Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. To ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard. If you have any questions or to adopt a dog an application must submitted. Filling out this form does not obligate you to adopt, but gives us the information needed to make sure the pet is suited to your home. HOW TO APPLY: From Petfinder.com The fastest way to get to the adoptable dog page is to copy and then paste this link into your browser: https://unitedanimalfriends.org/adoptable-dogs/ When you are on the UAF website Select "Adoptable Dogs" and pick the dog you are interested in. To apply to adopt, go into the dog's profile, and click the gray "Apply for Adoption" button to get started. You could be a life saver! Help us save more lives by fostering a dog or cat. If you live in the Prescott Az area please go to our website unitedanimalfriends.org and learn more about fostering!
