About Friday
Friday arrived in rescue as a pup from Texas and is now in Fredonia, WI. She’s just over a year old and spent her early life as an outdoor dog with a pack, which shaped her into a sociable companion for other dogs. In fact, Friday absolutely requires a confident canine playmate in her new home—she thrives when she has another dog to model after and play with. People are still new to her; she’s shy around adults, but has grown very close to the 11-year-old child in her foster home, following her lead during walks and even cuddling up to sleep beside her at night. Friday learns routines quickly, is quietly crate trained during the day, and is nearly housebroken. She takes treats gently, isn’t mouthy, and has never lived with small children—so families with toddlers should know she might be a bit clumsy. With patience, Friday warms up and becomes affectionate. She’s ready for someone who will continue to show her the world is safe and good. What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Questions about Friday
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Friday is a medium mixed-breed dog who would do well in a home with a yard or access to outdoor space, especially one with another confident dog to keep her company. She needs a stable, patient environment to help her continue building confidence around new people.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
As a medium mixed-breed dog, Friday will thrive with regular walks and access to a secure yard or a place to play off-leash. She enjoys being active and having a dog friend to romp with.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Friday has shown she can bond well with older children, as she's currently best friends with the 11-year-old in her foster home. Because she's still a big, playful puppy, supervision around toddlers is recommended since she could accidentally knock them over.
