Rory is a 1-year-old, 27-pound mixed breed with a whole lot of charm packed into one adorable little package. Much like her Gilmore Girls namesake, Rory is sweet, social, curious, and the kind of girl who wins people over everywhere she goes. This happy pup absolutely loves people and has been wonderful with everyone she’s met, including children. She’s also done great with dogs of all sizes and genders, and even has a history of doing well with cats. Rory greets visitors like they’re the most exciting thing that’s happened all day, and honestly…to her, they probably are. Rory is house trained and does well when left loose in the home, but crate life is just not her thing. In true cozy-girl fashion, she’d much rather be curled up in bed with her people than spending time behind bars. Her exercise needs are pretty easygoing, too. She enjoys hanging out around the house, lounging in the yard, brief walks, and a little zoomie time here and there. She’s still learning her leash manners and can pull on walks, especially when she spots another dog, so she’ll benefit from some continued practice. One of Rory’s favorite hobbies is keeping a very close eye on the neighborhood squirrel activity, and she can sit in the yard fully committed to the surveillance shift for quite a while. She hasn’t shown much interest in toys just yet, but she does appreciate a good Benebone chew session. While she may have a nose that suggests she’s ready to solve mysteries around Stars Hollow, she’s actually pretty quiet in the house and yard. Rory would likely do well in a variety of home environments as long as she has love, companionship, and a comfy place to nap after a long day of being adorable. If you’re looking for a cheerful, affectionate sidekick with main character energy and a heart full of love, Rory might just be your girl.
