Meet Winter Winter is a 1-2 year-old Boxer/Terrier mix, (about 40 lbs) with a playful spirit and a heart ready to belong to someone of her own. After raising a litter of nine puppies (yes... nine! ), it's finally her turn to be the one cared for. She's still a puppy at heart—eager to learn, food-motivated, and wanting so badly to get it right. Winter is the perfect mix of fun and snuggly. She loves to play, chew on her favorite antlers, chase ice cubes, and then curl up close for bedtime cuddles. She rides great in the car and enjoys being with her people. She's house trained and crate trained (even if it's not her favorite), and continues to work on leash manners. She can be a little jumpy/mouthy when excited, so a home without very young kids would be best. She may also be a little timid at first, but warms up quickly! Winter is looking for someone to show her the ropes—and in return, she'll give you her whole heart. Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt! Please only apply if you are serious about adopting. Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine. The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you.
