About Pudgeopotamus
Meet Pudgopotamus This 4-year-old, 58 lb bulldog mix is everything people love about bulldogs-goofy, stubborn in the most endearing way, and full of personality. She's the kind of dog who will make you laugh daily, whether it's her silly antics or the way she "talks" to you with her signature little bulldog whine. She absolutely loves people-like truly loves them. She hasn't met a stranger and greets everyone like they're her long-lost best friend. If you're looking for a social, affectionate dog who's always excited to see you (or anyone!), she's your girl. She does great with other dogs, too. Right now, she's especially fascinated with her tiny 5-pound poodle foster sibling-gently trying to recruit her for playtime and clearly convinced they should be best friends immediately. It's equal parts adorable and hilarious. She also has the ultimate bulldog play style-you'll see her do that classic front-paw tap followed by the full-on play bow (front end down, booty up!) as she tries to convince other dogs to join in. Even when the resident dogs give her a little grumble, she just takes it as part of the game and keeps trying, completely unfazed and always good-natured. Like a true bulldog, once she sets her mind to something... well, you'll see that classic stubborn streak shine through. But it just adds to her charm. She's not much of a barker, but she will let you know how she feels with her cute little vocalizations. She's doing great with potty habits, is comfortable in a crate, and walks fairly well on leash (with a little bit of pulling when something interesting catches her attention). She also loves car rides, happily riding along like your chunky little co-pilot. She could stand to lose a few pounds (we prefer to call it "extra squish"), so a home committed to keeping her active and healthy will be important. Pudgopotamus is currently fostered in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. Her adoption fee is $275.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
