About Milo In New
Meet Milo — the ultimate fluffy bundle of joy who's ready to steal your heart (and your spot on the couch)! Born around December 29, 2025, this adorable 14-week-old male puppy is already a big boy at 28 lbs — and he’s growing fast! Milo may be a pure Anatolian Shepherd or a mix, which means he’ll mature into a large to very large adult dog (likely 100–120+ lbs of gentle giant). Milo is wonderfully friendly, outgoing, and curious about the world. He loves meeting new people and other dogs, greeting everyone with a wagging tail and happy energy. His sweet demeanor, super soft fur, and soulful eyes bring joy to everybody he meets. He’s a true snuggle bug who melts for pets, belly rubs, and cuddles. We think he's going to be a big cuddle-bug with his family. Even though he’s just a baby puppy, Milo is already showing how smart he is! He has learned some very basic obedience: sit, down, touch (nose to hand), and come. He's learning to ring the jingle-bells to go outside (potty). He’s also learning to sit and wait somewhat patiently while his meals are served and before heading outside. When not distracted, he walks nicely on a loose-leash heel, though he’ll pull a bit when something extra curious catches his attention up ahead. Highly intelligent, Milo is going to be a very special adult dog. On the home-front, Milo is doing great with his puppy basics: he’s well potty trained to go outdoors, fully crate trained, and happily rests and digests in his crate after meals. He even sleeps through the night like a champ! He is at that age where he's about to lose his baby teeth, so he can be mouthy - he's quite gentle, but mouthy. This will likely resolve when the adult teeth fully come in. We recommend getting some toys made for strong chewers. Likely because of his livestock guardian instincts to stay close to his “pack,” Milo has some mild separation anxiety. He will do best in a home with another dog (or dogs) and where someone is home most of the day. A multi-dog household or a family with a consistent daily presence will help him feel secure and thrive. He has not met any cats yet, but he may do ok with them as he has exhibited no prey drive (though he's still very young). This big-hearted, social puppy is equal parts adventurous explorer and affectionate lap-warmer. With his loving nature and quick learning, Milo is ready to grow into a loyal and devoted family companion. A note for his perfect family: As part guardian-type dog, Milo will need a committed home with experience (or willingness to learn) raising this kind of dog. Early continued training, socialization, and a securely fenced yard will set him up for success. He’s up-to-date on his puppy vaccinations and ready for his forever home. If you have a dog-friendly household with room in your pack and plenty of love to give, Milo could be the perfect addition to your family! He’s waiting to share endless cuddles, playful zoomies, and lifelong loyalty. Ready to meet this growing fluffball? Applications are open - come see if you’re the right match for Milo!
