He was rescued from the euthanasia list at high kill shelter and is now looking for a loving forever home. From the moment he arrived at his foster home, Lope adjusted quickly. He happily explored the house, greeted the resident dogs, and accepted affection right away. He especially enjoys being petted under his chin and will gently nudge you for more attention. Lope is very social with both people and dogs. At dog parks, he loves meeting new canine friends and often approaches them first to play. Because of his size and energy, he does best with dogs of similar size or slightly larger. He currently lives with a child and behaves very calmly around kids, happily accepting pets while sitting nicely. Lope is house-trained and does not go potty indoors. He usually goes during walks and occasionally in the yard. He is also crate-trained and comfortably sleeps in his kennel at night. He enjoys walks and gets excited when he sees his harness. Like many curious dogs, he may pull slightly when something catches his interest, but he is continuing leash training and improving.
