About Georgie
Georgie is a gentle Miniature Poodle who spent his earlier years wandering southern Ohio before landing in rescue. Now about 12, he’s looking to finally relax in a calm, loving home. Blind and a true senior, Georgie learns his way around by routine and prefers the peace of a consistent environment. He’s quiet and values his independence, mostly content to curl up nearby and soak in the safety of home. While Georgie can be timid with new people—sometimes even nipping if startled—he just needs someone patient who will give him space to decompress and settle in. Because of his age and blindness, a home without young children is best for him. He welcomes calm dogs and cats, and may benefit from a mellow companion animal. He’s fully crate and potty trained, though walking on a leash isn’t his thing; a secure, fenced yard is a must so he can safely explore. What matters most to Georgie is consistent, gentle care and kindness. His needs are simple: a soft landing spot, a predictable routine, and a household that moves at his pace. After everything he’s been through, Georgie deserves to bask in comfort and quiet for the rest of his days. Georgie is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and on regular flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
