INTRODUCING: George and Bud! These bros are deep homies. Big big bonded bros. BFF4LYFE. Bud (Budweiser), the grey boy, is the leader. More outgoing. Ready for pets and greeting at the door. George, the orangie, is still slightly skeptical of indoor life. He watches Bud. And if Bud approves, he’s game for it too. It’s been so fun (& funny) to watch George grapple with his his desperate longing for affection & his skepticism of the human form. 😆 But watching Bud strut around with confidence has boosted George’s as well. Stay tuned for a hilarious video in which George cannot handle how bad he wants to be pet, but just can’t bring himself to go for it. These boys have a blast playing together, their favorite toy is a fuzzy orange bird with a broken squeaker inside, 🤷🏼‍♀️ and a big blue sparkle ball. As you can see they are snuggle buds in every way, and when they’re next to each other, humans aren’t scary at all. Together they can take on anything! George is a chatty little dude. What he lacks in physical contact he makes up for in word count! His love language is not Physical Touch, it’s definitely Words of Affirmation. He chitters and chirps at you from just out of arms reach to let you know he loves and appreciates you. 🙂 Bud(weiser) is more steady. More calm. He greets you at the door. Stands on the table waiting for pets, and comforts his brother. When you do get to finally pet George, Bud will horn right in and bump him out of the way to get his lovins! These boys are named for the owner of the boarded up bar they were living outside next to (George!) and the $1 Budweiser specials he ran there. George’s pub was a beloved stop on the Pedal Tavern tours, and George died a few years ago. I dont think the cats have any connection to the owner, but I named them in his honor anyway. These guys might be a little work in progress, but they’re making leaps toward lap cat every single day! They LOVE other cats too! They’d make great companions for a lonely kitty. Maybe a kitty who lost a mate, or one who needs some exercise playing with some friends.
