Scrappy
AvailableScrappy is an Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix with a short, tan and white coat, currently living in Bellaire, MI. At 1 year and 11 months old, he is an adult, neutered male who is house trained and vaccinated. Scrappy does not get along with cats but does enjoy the company of other dogs, particularly females.
About Scrappy
Scrappy arrived with little social experience and still faces a lot of fear when it comes to new things. He lights up around female dogs and would thrive best in a home where he can have a confident female pup as a buddy—she’ll help him learn the world isn’t so scary. While Scrappy loves to romp and roll in the snow, he’s still learning that getting a harness on isn’t a big deal; sometimes he runs off out of shyness. He does fine walking on leash with a harness once you're set, and he never says no to a treat. Patience will be important since he needs time to settle in, but he’s an affectionate, playful guy at heart and is totally house trained. A fenced yard is a must. For anyone with a welcoming female dog and a gentle approach, Scrappy could grow into a loyal, energetic friend. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
