About Rabbi
Hi! My name is Rabbi! I am a gorgeous 1 year old boxer boy with striking colors and amber eyes to captivate you! My previous life was one where I was assumed to be neglected and an escaped "back yard" dog but that has all changed! I came to my foster home inexperienced with household noises and items, not able to walk on a leash, and lacked simple training. I am now affectionate, eager to please, gentle, and sweet! I am a bit timid, but my foster family has been working with me to overcome my fears! I am very polite, don't jump on people, or get on furniture. I have since learned to sit, wait for food, use the doggie door, go up and down stairs, but still do not like to be left alone in a kennel. I am a 'people dog' and want to be with humans or dog friends! I am now house trained, leash trained, and sleep all night on a dog bed in my foster's bedroom. I am gentle and sweet around kids, which makes them enjoy petting me and I enjoy it! I do tend to have puppy energy and enjoy people throwing the ball for me, which I occasionally return to them, or when I get the zoomies! There are two resident boxers in my home and I get along well with them! We share bones, toys, and beds without issues! I am a little timid around new environments and animals, but will warm up over time. I can easily shut down when someone raises their voice, will hit the ground during walks when approaching new things, or a loud car goes by. My ideal family would be one with patience, stability, routine, and that understands positive teaching and reinforcement to better help me learn and be the best boy! If you think I would be a great addition to your family, contact the rescue today and give them my name because I am waiting to meet you!
