About Klaus

Klaus was rescued right on the shelter grounds, where his talent for hunting almost put him in a risky spot—some of the resident dogs didn't love a feline visitor. At first, Klaus was completely terrified by both people and the other cats. Over time, though, he's come out of his shell and started seeking out human company. Shelter staff have fallen for his charm and gentle ways. Behavior around other cats is still a work in progress. He seems unbothered by the cats who stroll up to his kennel, but the shelter is continuing to introduce him slowly. Klaus is a big, striking, short-haired tabby, extremely sweet but in need of a patient adopter who will give him space and encouragement to settle. He has house manners and is ready for a real home where he can relax. Give Klaus the patience he's earned and he'll reward you with loyalty and quiet affection.
