Dawn | 3.5–4 m/o female | 18 lbs | Cattle Dog / Aussie / Terrier Mix Meet Dawn! Since arriving in NYC on 2/28, Dawn has been blossoming into an incredibly sweet, smart, and affectionate young pup. Now at 18 pounds and growing, she's the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and total cuddle bug. Dawn is currently working on both crate training and potty training. She's still learning how to signal when she needs to go out, but she's improving every day and thriving with consistency and routine. She's incredibly intelligent and eager to learn—she already knows “sit” very well and picked up “lay down” in just minutes! On walks, Dawn is still building her confidence. She can be a little hesitant at first, but once she settles in, she really enjoys being outside—especially trips to the park where her curious and playful side shines. With continued exposure and encouragement, she'll only grow more confident. Dawn absolutely loves other dogs and does beautifully with them, making her a great candidate for a home with a canine companion. She's also very friendly and affectionate with adults, and while she may be a bit unsure at first when passing children on the street, she warms up with gentle, respectful interactions. She would do well in a home with kind, dog-savvy kids who understand how to give her space as she builds confidence. At home, Dawn is a total snuggle bug. She loves to curl up next to her people after playtime and is known for her epic puppy naps. While she has bursts of energy, she tires out quickly and is happiest when she can balance play with lots of cozy downtime. Like many young pups who've experienced big transitions, Dawn is working through some mild separation anxiety and will benefit from a home committed to helping her build confidence and independence over time. Dawn is incredibly lovable—everyone who meets her falls in love instantly—and with continued structure, training, and lots of love, she's going to make an amazing, loyal companion. Spayed, Vaccinated for age appropriate vaccinations and microchipped. Tested for vector-borne illnesses. Current on flea, tick, and heart worm prevention.
