About Jake
A914382- Jake Jake can be mistaken for a Squishmallow. He’s soft, squishy, and loves to be held. With that puppy face and droopy ears, it’s hard not to pick him up and hold him. Jake loves pets and ear scratches, melting i to your arms and truly turn to jello. He’s an affectionate puppy who’s not shy about giving kisses on your chin and across your face. Jake is being crate trained and only cries for a few minutes before falling asleep in his crate. He is still small and need help with potty training. Walking on a leash is a work in progress. His foster mom noticed that he’s shy around loud noises and other barking dogs. He will seek comfort by running to his foster mom and leaning against her. He’s curious enough to peek out and watch what’s going on. With time and exposure, Jake will adjust nicely. As all puppies are at this age, Jake chews on everything. He loves squeaky toys and playing tug of war with his brother or resident dog. He is easily redirected when he is caught chewing on things he shouldn’t. He stops when told no, and happily accepts something else to chew on. He respects the resident cats’ space and foster family have not seen him chase the cats. Foster mom believes he’ll get along with a dog savvy cat with proper introduction. Jake has spent all his time with his brother Finn. The two puppies are starting to explore the yard and home without the other. They can be adopted separately with time to adjust to the new situation and attention from adopted families.
