Ellie is an estimated 3 year old female that was found by a good Samaritan. She was chipped and traced back to a nearby house. After going to the address, the house was abandoned and neighbors said the owner had died with Ellie still in the house. After a few weeks, Ellie and her owner were discovered and with no family wanting to take her, she was left in the backyard to fend for herself. Eventually construction to remodel the house started and the gate was opened, but Ellie stayed close to what she thought was her home. Thankfully she now has a chance at a new one. She is good with other dogs, but does not like young energetic dogs in her face. She prefers low key or to be the only dog. Much of her past is unknown, but she does love her people. She walks easily on a leash and would love to have the security of a family *this dog is in Texas and can be transported to Colorado, where we do monthly adoption events.
