Dog's Name: Dottie (DOT0426ALAFD) Estimated Breed: Chihuahua / Rat Terrier mix Approximate Age: 1 year Approximate Weight: 14 lbs Currently Living at: Coming Soon Adoption Fee: $400 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Dottie — a little survivor looking for a loving home Dottie is a young Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix whose story could have ended so differently. She was cruelly dumped on the side of an Alabama road along with her buddy, Slink. Luckily, a compassionate passerby stopped, scooped them up, and gave them a second chance. Now Dottie and Slink are on their way north, leaving that painful chapter behind and searching for the forever home they both deserve. Dottie is incredibly friendly and affectionate. She enjoys the company of other dogs and would fit beautifully into a home with canine companions or as your one-and-only little shadow. Despite her rough start, Dottie's heart is open and ready to love again. So, if you're looking for a devoted, sweet-natured companion to share your life with, Dottie is waiting to meet you. Apply today and you could be the happy ending this precious girl has been hoping for! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
