Meet Jabberwocky Jabberwocky is the kind of big, goofy hound who walks into a room and immediately behaves like he’s been elected Mayor of Family Fun. He’s powered almost entirely by cheese, takes treats with a gentle touch, and will proudly show off his sit and shake like he’s auditioning for a talent show no one asked for. Car rides? He’s already in the backseat. Swimming? He’s halfway to the water before you’ve finished your sentence. In a home, Jabberwocky is the definition of “easy win.” He walks nicely on leash, would be great with kids, and has that warm, floppy energy that makes a house feel lived‑in and loved. Picture him sprawled across the couch after a day of adventures, snoring softly while the kids build a pillow fort around him. He’s ready to be someone’s big, loyal, cheese‑loving shadow. Approximate Birth Date - 10/20/22 Size - Large (61lbs) Other dogs - Jabberwocky is currently doing good with dogs that are similar to his size. We'll be doing further testing with him to determine if he's okay with smaller dogs. **In Order to adopt an unspayed/unneutered dog from HSMC, You must live within an hour of the shelter. You will initially "Foster to Adopt" the dog and then the adoption will be finalized when they are brought back for their spay/neuter surgery. You will need to bring the dog back for vaccines and exams prior to their spay/neuter surgery** Our adoption fees vary, Shelter Dogs are $180, Prison Dogs are $250, Puppies are $300, and Popular Pure-Breeds are $400. The price includes: a Home Again Microchip, set of shots, de-worming, heartworm testing (if old enough), spay or neuter, and a 1 year rabies shot (if old enough). All dogs adopted must leave with a county license at an additional cost of $21. Adoption fees can be done using credit card or cash.
