Meet Smokey and Shadow 🩶🖤 Smokey and Shadow are 8-year-old bonded brothers who are looking for a calm, patient home to call their own after losing their beloved fur mama in January. After their owner passed away, her daughter made sure they were brought to safety with Enfield Community Cat Project, and we are so grateful they are now getting the second chance they deserve. These handsome boys were under-socialized when they first came into rescue, but they have made such beautiful progress. With time, patience, and love, they have truly blossomed into affectionate little love bugs. They now enjoy being pet all over — even on their bellies — and they absolutely love being brushed, which is a good thing because they appear to have some Persian in them and have very thick undercoats that will need regular grooming. Smokey and Shadow will need a little time to settle in and learn to trust in a new environment, but once they do, they are the sweetest souls. They are not asking for much — just a quiet home, a sunny window, a few laser beams to chase, and someone kind enough to let them enjoy life at their own pace. Because of their personalities, they would do best in a quieter home without young children. They previously lived with a dog while their mom was ill and were not fans, so a dog-free home would likely be best for them. These boys have already been through a tremendous loss, so it is very important to us that they stay together. They are bonded brothers and will only be adopted as a pair.
